The International Society for NeuroVascular Disease is a non-profit professional association devoted to furthering the development of research for neurovascular related diseases - including those of the extracranial venous system.

Purpose

The ISNVD is dedicated to the dissemination and review of new concepts in etiopathogenesis, novel diagnostics and modes of therapeutic treatment in the diseases of the neurovasculature. The society does not endorse specific products, treatment modalities or procedures but encourages the free exchange of information which may lead to peer reviewed research and clinical studies.

Maria Marcella Laganà, Ph.D.
is a biomedical engineer with 20 years of experience in neuroimaging and advanced MRI. She works at Canon Medical Systems and has led numerous clinical research projects with MRI, CT, and ultrasound. Author of over 80 peer-reviewed publications, she is member of the Editorial Board of European Radiology and European Radiology Experimental. She has over 10 years of teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Milan and has been serving on the Executive Committee of the ISNVD for eight years.

Yongsheng Chen, Ph.D.
is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Director of the MR Research Facility at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. His academic background spans biomedical engineering, computer engineering, and radiological sciences, with a particular focus on MR physics. His research laboratory specializes in developing quantitative MRI techniques to image the human brain and peripheral nerves, with clinical applications in neurodegenerative disorders and peripheral neuropathies.
